Post-Op Care
Many of our patients experience significant relief from their tooth pain after undergoing endodontic treatment. After the procedure, you might feel tenderness around the treated tooth and surrounding gum tissue. This is normal and should subside within a few days. To manage any discomfort, you can take ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) and/or acetaminophen (Tylenol) as directed by Dr. Ball. If you were prescribed an antibiotic, take it as prescribed, but keep in mind it may take up to 48 hours to see results.
If you were prescribed pain medication or steroids, carefully read the label warnings. Consult with your pharmacist regarding potential interactions with other medications.
Your comfort is our top priority. Should you experience discomfort that can’t be controlled by over the counter medication, or if you experience significant swelling, please contact our office immediately. Dr. Ball and the Sandy Springs Endodontics team are here to help, even after hours, via on-call number, NEED.
